"I thought I could be more"
"You're nobody"

It was ironic and full of poetic justice when the two thought-to-be-indestructible immortals died in totally ordinary ways at exactly the same time.

"The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity"

“A woman can preach. A woman can work. A woman can fight. A woman can build, can rule, can conquer, can destroy just as much as a man can.”

“I thought I’d be a hero”

HAWAII FIVE-0 + HEROES — Nathan Petrelli’s rounding up supers for containment, but Peter keeps slipping away.

When Peter drops the gun, Steve isn’t sure how to react; the man’s eyes are brown and honest and hardly those of a villain, but the way Senator Petrelli spoke of him made it seem like Peter was a murderer. He moves, slow, from his position behind the tree he’d hidden behind, and he holds his rifle in his hand just in case, but makes sure to show that his finger’s no longer on the trigger.

“I’m not the bad guy here,” Peter says, his hands lifted, his head tilted slightly as he breathes heavily. Steve’s brows furrow in response, but he chooses not to speak in return.

“I’m innocent.” The younger man swallows, blinking, his fingers shaking slightly. “You have to believe me. My brother, he’s—he’s collecting us, rounding us up against our will. You don’t understand—”

Steve interrupts him with a question: “Who is ‘us’?”
